BIOGRAPHY

​

Seb Michel is a Swiss photographer born in Brussels, Belgium in 1976. 

 

An artist mother and film director father, Seb Michel was introduced early on to the world of photography. After spending his teenage years skipping class to experiment with his first camera - a Nikon FM2, a gift from his father at the age of 12 - Seb starts a photography apprenticeship in dual training in Geneva and enters the Vevey Photography School in Switzerland. 

 

Upon graduating, he joins an advertising studio in Geneva where he earns his stripes as a young fashion and beauty photographer. After a decade of collaborations with global agencies, Publicis, Havas and Saatchi & Saatchi, Seb established his own studio with a focus on luxury fashion, still life, motion and art direction.

 

In 2012, Seb Michel launched his studio in Lausanne, where he works with a close-knit team. Over the years,

 

Seb has worked with some of the worlds most recognised luxury brands : Adler, Baume & Mercier, Chopard, Jaeger LeCoultre, Longines, L’Oréal, Parmigiani Fleurier, Pierre Deroche, Vacheron Constantin, Wella.

 

Meanwhile, his interest to develop a personal art work becomes stronger and he started to create personal series, characterized by his minimalist approach. Seb's aesthetics effortlessly reflects his love of the light and hisrelentless hunt for emotional visuals, be it in still, beauty or art projects.
