Seb Michel est un photographe suisse né en 1976.
Dès son plus jeune âge, Seb Michel a été initié au monde de la photographie. Après avoir passé son adolescence à expérimenter avec son premier appareil photo argentique – un cadeau de son père à l'âge de 12 ans – il a rapidement découvert le fort potentiel de ce médium comme moyen d'expression et de communication.
Diplômé du CEPV à Vevey en 1998 après une formation duale, il rejoint LE STUDIO PRODUCTION à Genève où il se fait rapidement remarquer en tant que jeune photographe de mode et de beauté. Après une décennie de collaborations avec des agences mondiales telles que Publicis, Havas, Young & Rubicam et Saatchi & Saatchi, Seb fonde sa propre entreprise en 2008, axée sur la mode, la réalisation de campagnes de communication et la direction artistique.
En 2012, Seb Michel ouvre son studio à Lausanne et se concentre sur les campagnes de luxe - bijoux et montres, où il travaille avec une équipe soudée avec ses assistants et retoucheurs. Engagé dans la formation et convaincu par l'efficacité d'une approche immersive et la transmission d'un savoir-faire artisanal et d'une méthodologie créative spécifique, Seb Michel a formé à ce jour quatre photographes en formation duale.
Au fil des ans, Seb a travaillé avec certaines des marques de luxe les plus reconnues au monde et des magazines tels que Adler, Baume & Mercier, Bilan Luxes, Cellcosmet, Chopard, Encore !, Jaeger LeCoultre, Longines, L'Officiel, Logitech, L'Oréal, Le Temps, Mido, Parmigiani Fleurier, Pierre Deroche, Vacheron Constantin, Wella.
Progressivement, son intérêt pour développer un travail artistique personnel devient plus fort et il commence à créer des séries personnelles, caractérisées par son approche minimaliste et un questionnement sur son environnement et les rapports humains.
L'esthétique de Seb Michel reflète sans effort son amour de la lumière et sa quête incessante d'images émotionnelles, que ce soit dans ses photos de montres et joaillerie, de portraits, d'images beauté ou dans ses projets artistiques personnels

Seb Michel is a Swiss photographer & director born in 1976.
An artist mother and film director father, Seb Michel was introduced early on to the world of photography. After spending his teenage years to experiment with his first camera - a Nikon FM2, a gift from his father at the age of 12 - Seb starts a photography apprenticeship dual course in a photostudio in Geneva with photographer Thierry Bourdeille and at CEPV photography school in Vevey.
Upon graduating, he joins LE STUDIO PRODUCTION in 2001 as a freelance photographer in Geneva where he earns his stripes as a young fashion and beauty photographer. After a decade of collaborations with global agencies, Publicis, Havas, Young & Rubicam, and Saatchi & Saatchi, Seb established his own company in 2008 with a focus on luxury fashion, still life, motion and art direction.
In 2012, Seb Michel launched his studio in Lausanne and focussed into Luxury - Jewellery and Watches campaigns, where he works with a close-knit team.
Over the years, Seb has worked with some of the worlds most recognised luxury brands and magazines : Adler, Baume & Mercier, Bilan Luxes, Cellcosmet, Chopard, Encore!, Jaeger LeCoultre, Longines, L'Officiel, Logitech, L’Oréal, Le Temps, Parmigiani Fleurier, Pierre Deroche, Swatch, Scott, Vacheron Constantin.
Meanwhile, his desire to develop a personal artistic body of work grew stronger, leading him to create a series of personal projects defined by a minimalist approach and a constant questioning of his surroundings and human relationships.
Seb Michel’s aesthetic effortlessly reflects his love of light and his continuous pursuit of emotionally driven images, whether in his watches, jewelry portraits, beauty or personal art projects
